Latha Hegde is an Indian-born New Zealand actress who works mainly in Kannada also works in Telugu and Tamil films.[1][2] Hegde did her first film Tuntari in 2016, opposite Nara Rohith.[3][4] She then did her first film in Tamil Oh Andha Naatkal as a lead alongside Suhasini Maniratnam, Khushbu, Raadhika and Urvashi. Hegde then made her Kannada debut opposite Vinay Rajkumar in Ananthu vs Nusrath (2017).[5][6]

Early life[]

Latha's family hails from Honnavar, Karnataka. Latha moved to New Zealand at the age of seven and was brought up there.[7][8] Latha's father is an engineer and her mother is a teacher. She did her schooling and university in Auckland, New Zealand. Latha finished her degree with a double major in marketing and management at the University of Auckland,[citation needed]

Career[]

Latha had completed her degree when she got offered her first Telugu film which marks her debut. Director Kumar Nagendra had waited three months to get Hegde on board for her first film.[citation needed]
