Survivor is an American reality television show, a derivative of the Swedish program, Expedition Robinson. It is broadcast on CBS and hosted by Jeff Probst.

The first season, Survivor: Borneo, premiered on May 31, 2000, while the 40th season, Survivor: Winners at War, premiered on February 12, 2020. As of May 13, 2020, 596 episodes of Survivor have aired, including six specials, concluding the fortieth season. On May 6, 2020, CBS renewed the series for the forty-first season and was originally set to air on fall 2020, but production of that season was postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and will now be scheduled to premiere in September 2021.[1][2]
