List of awards and honors received by Elon Musk

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Business magnate and industrial designer Elon Musk is recognized for his efforts to combat global warming. According to Bill Gates, "what Elon did with Tesla is one of the greatest contributions to climate change anyone's ever made".[1] Al Gore called himself "a big fan of Tesla and of Elon Musk".[2] For his renewable energy work and advocacy, Musk has received several environmentalist awards, including the National Wildlife Federation's Connie Award[3] and a Global Green award.[4]

Musk has also received acclaim for his work on making space exploration more affordable. Dmitry Rogozin, the head of the Russian space agency, praised Musk's contributions in the field and stated that he "treats [Musk's] work with respect".[5] In part for his contributions to space travel, Musk was elected a fellow of the Royal Society in 2018.[6]

He was listed among the Time 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2010, 2013 and 2018, and was ranked joint-first on the Forbes list of the "Most Innovative Leaders of 2019".[7]
