List of diplomatic missions in Germany
This article uses bare URLs, which may be threatened by link rot. (July 2021) |
This article lists diplomatic missions resident in Germany. At present, Germany hosts 157 embassies.
Since the reunification of Germany in 1990, and the decision of the federal parliament to move the capital from Bonn to Berlin in 1991, all countries that maintain resident embassies in Germany have moved to Berlin. Nonetheless, a few countries still maintain resident missions in Bonn, which serve as extension offices of their embassies. Several countries have consulates/consulates general in major cities, namely Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Munich, and Stuttgart.
This listing excludes honorary consulates.

Notes[]
a. | ^ Kosovo is the subject of a territorial dispute between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia. The Republic of Kosovo unilaterally declared independence on 17 February 2008. Serbia continues to claim it as part of its own sovereign territory. The two governments began to normalise relations in 2013, as part of the 2013 Brussels Agreement. Kosovo is currently recognised as an independent state by 97 out of the 193 United Nations member states. In total, 112 UN member states have recognised Kosovo at some point, of which 15 later withdrew their recognition. |
- ^ The permanent mission of the Democratic Republic of Germany (GDR), also known as East Germany, closed upon the reunification of Germany in 1990, which saw the GDR's dissolution.
