Jamshedpur is one of the major hubs for industry in Jharkhand, India, The following are neighbourhoods of the city.

Central[]

The Central area is the main area of commercial and cultuaral activities.
Place Name Description
Agrico Agrico is a residential hub in Central Jamshedpur.
Bistupur Bistupur is a main Neighbourhood and business district in Jamshedpur, and one of the oldest areas of the city.
Cable Town A very popular area close to Golmuri. This place have the famous Cable Maidan Ground. In which many matches are held including one of the Jamshedpur FC matches. This is also a refreshment and a recreation place for the people.
Golmuri This is a major commercial as well as a residential area of the city. This place have many facilities. Here are many famous places such as Golmuri Masjid, Golmuri Golf Couse, The Bizton and also Golmuri Park and Akash Deep Plaza.
Namda Basti A large neighbourhood close to the area of Gomuri. And Cabe Town is under this neighbourhood. This is a residential as well as a commercial area.
Sakchi Sakchi is main and a major commercial neighbourhood and business district. It was the village in north eastern India territory of Singhbhum which was selected by Jamsetji Tata to be the location of a planned steel city, which in 1919 became Jamshedpur. Sakchi is now part of the city between the Tata Steel site and the river Subarnarekha. Then it was known as Kalimati. Now it is a major commercial centre and a business centre type district. Due to the presence of iron ore, river water and sand, Jamsetji Tata decided to establish TISCO (Tata Iron and Steel Company Limited) there. The company is now known as Tata Steel Ltd. It is the oldest area in Jamshedpur.
Tata Stteel Plant Area This place have the Tata Steel plant.
Northern Town Northern Town is a major neighbourhood. This is a major sports hub as here many stadiums are located including the JRD Tata Sports Complex and the most famous Keenan Stadium are located here in this area of the city.

This place have became now a major real estate and commercial estate hub and as well as a residential hub. This is one of the largest neighbourhoods of the city of Jamshedpur in area.

Adityapur Adityapur is a city and also a part of Jamshedpur. This is a major industrial hub. As here is the famous Adityapur Industrial Area. Which has once held the record being the largest industrial belts in Asia. Here is everything including also a railway station. Marine Drive connects this place to the rest of the regions and areas of the Jamshedpur.
Gamharia Gamharia is the another major industrial hub of the city. It is connected and attached with Adityapur. It is also having a large industrial area. Here is the famous Adityapur Auto Cluster located in this place. It is a city as well as a part of Jamshedpur
Kandra Kandra is a city as well as a census town in Saraikela Kharsawan district in the Indian state of Jharkhand, though it lies in the Seraikela-Kharsawan district of Jharkhand it is considered as an integral part of the
Sonari Sonari is a large residential and commercial area contains commercial and residential areas. The airport of Jamshedpur namely Sonari Airport is in this area itself located.
Uliyan Another famous residential hub of the city. Here is the famous Vijaya Heritage and Vijaya Gardens.

Birsanagar Birsanagar was planned and divided into 12 zones which are further divided into smaller zones. Birsanagar was formed after hard struggle and labor by the original inhabitants "Adiwasi's" a few of the fighters were Birsa Munda, Sidhu and Kanu. Birsanagar was named after Birsa Munda. Birsanagar is thought to be a poor place but now has become a get away because of its greenery and natural appeal. Birsanagar has a self-sufficient market so that the residents of it do not have to go elsewhere for the basic amenities. There is a huge vegetable market every Sunday and Thursday. This market is most famous for the fresh vegetables one can buy here from the far and nearby villagers selling themselves from their own small farms.
Kharangajhar Kharangajhar is a neighbourhood and a major commercial and business centre of the Jamshedpur. It is one of the famous and most popular markets of the city Jamshedpur.
Telco Colony Telco Colony is one of the old neighbourhoods in Jamshedpur. It is mainly an industrial area with every facilities. Including markets etc. This place was established in late 1940s

This is the place from where the Tata Motors was started. TELCO Colony has the Tata Motors Plant and also a cummins plant located here while here many other industries and factories are located here.

Parsudih Parsudih is a residential area . It is situated on the other side of the Tatanagar railway station, towards Tata-Chaibasa highway.

It mostly has private residential and apartment accommodation. It is located on the outskirts of Jamshedpur and falls under Panchayat. It is a Bengali dominated area in the city. Specifically there are no official languages. People residing here speak English, Hindi, Bengali, Oriya and Santhali.
