The M. Harvey Taylor Bridge is a steel girder bridge that spans the Susquehanna River in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Named after State Senator M. (Maris) Harvey Taylor,[1] a prominent state legislator from Harrisburg who lived between 1876 and 1982, the bridge connects Harrisburg's downtown and Riverfront Park with the West Shore. The bridge was built in 1952 and was reconstructed and widened from July 2001 through July 2004 to accommodate additional pedestrian walkways. The speed limit is 50 miles per hour (80 km/h).
