MOEX Russia Index
The MOEX Russia Index (Russian: Индекс МосБиржи), formerly MICEX Index, is the main ruble-denominated benchmark of the Russian stock market.[1] The index was established on 22 September 1997,[2] and has the same composition as the dollar-denominated RTS Index.[3]
The number of component stocks is variable, and depends on liquidity and trading frequency.[4] The MOEX Russia Index is traditionally favored by domestic investors, while foreign investors prefer the RTS Index.[5]
