Magana Jari Ce Hausa prononouciation [magana jari ce] (listen) meaning Speaking is profitable or it literally means Wisdom is an asset Or "ability to tell stories is a valuable possession" as described by Rupert East, the book is a novel which was written in Hausa language, the book is considered one of the greatest book to ever been told in Hausa Language across Northern Nigeria, the book is officially recognised as a litreture book in Nigerian Secondary Schools for Hausa subjects and curriculum,[1][2] the book was written by the prominent author who came from Northern Nigeria Protectorate known as Abubakar Imam, the first version was first published in 1937 by Northern Nigerian Publishing Company Limited[3] and other parts of the books by Zaria Coparation.[4][5][6]
History[]
Magana Jari Ce part 1 was first published in 1937[7] by Northern Nigerian Publishing Company, while the second and the third version in different years by Zaria Coparation.[8]
The book was written as a result of Abubakar Imam participatory in a writing contest organised by Rupert East in 1933, which was won by Abubakar Imam with his first debut novel known as Ruwan Bagaja, during six months duration of his living in Zaria, he wrote Magana Jari Ce as his second novel, which was first published in 1937, followed by part 2 and part 3 in different years.

The book is published in three version, Magana Jari Ce 1, 2 and 3, each version was published in a different Year.[9]
Plot[]
The novel tells a story of a young prince and his parrot pet known as Aku, it also depicts royalist and royal life within Hausa emirates, where royalist struggle for royal title inheritance, which makes them optimistic to make plans to inherite an imperial, royal and noble ranks. In the book, all of the sudden it starts with a story of a richest Emire who have a kingdom, unfortunately for him, he doesn't have any child that will inherite all his wealth and become the future king, fortunately for the Emire, a traditional sheikh make a dream that if the Emire will gather forty imams to pray for him for about forty days, God will answer their prayers and bless him with a child, the dream that came through to the birth of Musa, a young crown prince royalist, who became righteous next to the thrown when his father demise.
Musa at about twelve years of age, an Emire from Sinari kingdom send his visier to Emire Abdurahman, the father of Musa, proposing a marriage engagement between his daughter princes Sinaratu with prince Musa, the marriage proposal that upset Sarki Abdurahman, which makes him disgraced the visier of Sinari by telling him unpleasant statement and send him out of his kingdom disgraced.
Upon what happened the visier to Sarki Abdurahman tends to join hand with Sarkin Sinari to fight his own Emire in return of a throne, he send his slave to direct them into the kingdom by following unknown route to come inside the kingdom and over thrown the Emire, the plan went unsuccessful that makes Emire Abdurahman to retaliate by fighting back, Sarki Abdulrahman have to went out for war, so he left his visier on the throne to rule over the kingdom, unknowing that his visier is a traitor to the kingdom.
Upon his leaving, the visier acquire an idea of killing the crown prince and planning for the Emire to die in war, which will makes him righteousus to take over the thrown, the father of the crown prince Musa left the realm to fight, while his father left the palace to fight for the battle, he orederd his most trusted slaves to protect his son against any internal traitor who might harm the prince, as the child will be the next Emire if he didn't come back alive, a situation that makes his visier intends to take over the thrown by killing the young boy, hoping for the king to die in a battle of field, that will surely makes him righteous to the thrown if the king and the crown prince are dead.
In the other hand the pet which was bought to the crown prince known as Aku, knows every occasions, he knows the past, the present and the future, so the parrot decided to keep the crown prince busy by telling him stories, so that the prince will not leave the palace in loneliness of his father, leaving the palace will make the visier to take advantage to achieve one out of his two goals.

The characters include
- Sarki Abdurahman the royal Emire, father of the crown prince Musa and grandfather to Mahamudu.
- Waziri the visier to Sarki Abdurahman who couch allegiance to Sarkin Zinari to invent the kingdom in return of making him the crown emire.
- Musa the crown prince, son of Sarki Abdurahman.
- Mahamudu the son to the daughter of Sarki Abdurahman, and a childhood friend to the crown prince Musa, also son to the 70 year old commander of the kingdom, as a small boy to inherite the position of his father, he have to fight side by side with Emire in war.
- Waziri Aku which means parrot, is a pet to the crown prince Musa, who later became the visier to the royal Emire, he is the story teller to young crown prince to take away his curious emotional feelings and to deviate the crown prince from leaving the palace to follow his father to the battle, which the visier will like to take the advantage of killing the crown prince out side the palace.
- Sarkin Zinari, Abdulaziz dan Shehu Mukhtar, the rival emire to Sarki Abdurahman, who get upsetted as a result of declining his wedding proposal to Musa son of Sarki Abdurahman and for disgracing his visier whom he sent for the proposal.
- Sinaratu daughter to the Emire Sarkin Zinari, which he wants her to marry prince Musa, rejecting the proposal with disgrace is what makes him upset.
- Wazirin Sinari the visier to Sarkin Zinari, He was disgraced by Sarki Abdurahman when he was sent with marriage proposal, He remain loyal to his emire unlike the visier of Sarki Abdurahman.
