Mali Školj is uninhabited island in the Bay of Mali Ston, located between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Veliki Školj is one of two Bosnia and Herzegovina's islands in the Adriatic Sea. The other island is Veliki Školj.
The temporary regime of the sea border between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e. the two municipalities in those countries, both predominantly Croat, was determined in 1999. The Neum Agreement on the temporary border was signed by Franjo Tuđman and Alija Izetbegović. It has never been ratified due to controversy. Croatia disputes the validity of the agreement and claims the two islands as its own territory.[1]
