Malvito (Calabrian: Marivitu) is a town and comune in the province of Cosenza in the Calabria region of southern Italy.
Its name derives from the Latin word for mallow, malvetum. Its population was severely reduced in the 1950s and 1960s due to mass migration to USA, Australia, Argentina and Canada.
