Manasa Varanasi is an Indian model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Femina Miss India 2020.[1][2] She will represent India at the Miss World 2021 pageant, to be held on 16 December 2021 at Coca-Cola Music Hall, San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Early life and education[]

Manasa Varanasi was born in Hyderabad but moved to Malaysia in early childhood days because of her father’s job. She completed her Grade 10 from Malaysian campus of GIIS in batch 2011-12. She then came back to Hyderabad and completed her Intermediate at FIITJEE and pursued engineering further. She studied Computer Science at Vasavi College of Engineering, Hyderabad, and used to work as a financial information exchange (FIX) analyst at Factset, Hyderabad. She has been a resident of Hyderabad only for 9 years now.[3]

Pageantry[]

In 2019, Varanasi took part in Femina Miss India Telangana 2019 contest, where she ended up being the Top 3 finalists for the state representative. In 2020, she then auditioned for the same title for Femina Miss India Telangana 2020 which she eventually won. She represented the state of Telangana at the Femina Miss India 2020 pageant. On 10 February 2021, she was crowned as Femina Miss India World 2020 by the outgoing titleholder Suman Rao at Hyatt Regency, Mumbai. During the pageant's sub contest ceremony, she won the 'Miss Rampwalk' award.[4]

Miss World 2021[]

Varanasi will represent India at the 70th edition of Miss World pageant, to be held on 16 December 2021 at Coca-Cola Music Hall, San Juan, Puerto Rico.
