Career[]
Burg was President of Island Pictures in the early 1990s and produced many films such as Basketball Diaries (1995), The Sandlot, The Cure, and gave Halle Berry her first leading role, in Strictly Business (1991). In the late 1990s, with his producing partner Oren Koules, he created Evolution Entertainment, which produces film and television and manages writers, directors, and actors. In 2004, with Koules and the late Gregg Hoffman, he created the production company Twisted Pictures that mainly focuses on developing and producing horror films. Burg personally financed the first production of the Saw films with his partner, Koules. It paid off, in result of him becoming a multi-millionaire. He has received a ShoWest Awards, People's Choice Awards, has had a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for the Most Successful Horror Movie Franchise, and has been nominated for three Emmy Awards, as well as received multiple awards for previous films.
