Rear Admiral Mark David Hammond AM is a senior officer in the Royal Australian Navy. He served as Deputy Chief of Navy from 2018 to 2020, and was appointed Commander Australian Fleet in November 2020.

Hammond joined the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) in 1986 as a junior sailor electronics technician and attended recruit school at HMAS Cerberus. He was commissioned in 1988 and graduated from the Australian Defence Force Academy in 1990.[1] He is known for his skill as a submarine commander.[2]
Hammond was made a Member of the Order of Australia in the 2018 Australia Day Honours for "exceptional service to the Australian Defence Force in senior command and staff roles".[3]
