Matt Vander Ende (born May 26, 1969) is an American drummer and percussionist from Oakland, California. A graduate from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, he was the original drummer for the thrash metal band Defiance. He was also a member of the heavy metal band Lȧȧz Rockit for a short period, recording one record titled Gack, and has also worked with the Atlanta Symphony, Shelly Streeter and several other Bay Area bands.
Now living in New York City, he is currently the drummer for the Broadway show Wicked, performing at the George Gershwin Theatre.
