Maytee Zaray Martinez (born March 7, 1994 in New Jersey) is a Cuban American model, designer, and television personality. She was raised in West New York, New Jersey and moved to Miami, Florida to pursue her dreams. Maytee started her modeling career at the age of 13. She also took modeling classes at the Alicia Faccio Modeling School in Doral, FL. She graduated from Miami International University for Art & Design with a Bachelor's in Fashion Merchandise in 2010. That year, she was featured on Supermodel Tyra Banks site as a finalist for America's Next Top Model[1] and was on the Nuvo TV reality hit show Model Latina.[2] Maytee is also a candidate on DVF's docu-series House of DVF Season 2 airing on the E! Network in USA starting September 13, 2015 at 9pm.

As a runway model, Martinez has worked for designers such as Dior, Guess Jeans, Valentino, Shrekahnth, Carolina Herrera, Roberto Cavalli, Gianni Tolentino, Nino Lettieri, Cia Maritima, Free People, Betsey Johnson, Nouvelle Amsale, La Perla, Elie Tahari, Pink by Victoria's Secret, Carlos Arturo Zapata, Lipsy London, Nicolita, Vince Camuto, Nordstrom, SAKS, CJ By Cookie Johnson, Lilly Pulitzer and St. John among other greats. Maytee also modeled in fashion weeks including: Mercedes Benz Fashion Week NY, MBFW Swimweek, Style 360 NYFW, New York Fashion Week,[3] FTL Moda, Art Hearts Fashion, Arts of Fashion/Paris, Funkshion, and Miami International Fashion Week, to name a few. She's been featured in numeros magazines all over the world but is most known for her feature on Vogue Italia, Elle magazine, and Seventeen.[4]

Martinez has been in numerous TV shows and series such as the Colombian television series, El Cartel de Los Sapos, and appeared in the BET movie, CO2, as well as a number of short films. Maytee also appeared on the popular Univision program, Sabado Gigante.[5]

In March 2012, she was honored and named the Queen/Reina of the annual Cuban American Parade held in her hometown of New Jersey. The parade was a huge deal, more than 80,000 people attended.

In March 2013, Maytee traveled to El Gouna, Egypt to represent Cuba at the Top Model of the World competition presented by World Beauty Organization. Maytee also competed in the prestigious modeling competition World Top Model which earned her a spot in the Top 12 and was a finalist. The event was held in Budapest, Hungary and was presented by MAJOR Models and Fiore Tondi. She currently holds the title of World Top Model Cuba 2013.

Designer[]

In 2013, Martinez launched[6] her new swimwear line, "Adoro by Maytee by M."[7] in Chelsea, Manhattan. The line was a limited and exclusive collection and had great success.

Philanthropy[]

Maytee enjoys giving back and works with numerous foundations all over the world including Art Hearts Fashion, Aids Healthcare Foundation, FTL Moda showcases, Fashion Designers Expo/Let the Runway Meet the Cause, Susan G. Komen and many others.[8] Maytee is also very passionate about animal activism and has been linked to different animal rights organizations.

Martinez is the sister of Big Brother 19 winner and The Challenge veteran Josh Martinez.
