Menarola is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Sondrio in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) north of Milan and about 45 kilometres (28 mi) northwest of Sondrio, on the border with Switzerland. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 40 and an area of 14.8 square kilometres (5.7 sq mi).[2]
Menarola borders the following municipalities: Gordona, Lostallo (Switzerland), Mese, San Giacomo Filippo, Soazza (Switzerland).
