Michael Joseph Boulette (born June 4, 1950) is an American priest of the Catholic Church and serves as auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of San Antonio in 2017.

Biography[]

Michael J. Boulette was born in Hudson Falls, New York on June 4, 1950. Michael J. Boulette holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology (cum laude) from St. Mary's University (1971), a master's degree in psychology from Trinity University (1972), a master of divinity from the University of Notre Dame (1975), and a Doctor of Preaching and Worship from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary (1993).

On March 19, 1976, Boulette was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of San Antonio. As a priest in San Antonio, Boulette worked as the founding director[1] of St. Peter Upon the Water: A Center for Spiritual Direction and Formation, a training center for spiritual directors in the Catholic faith.

On March 10, 2005, Boulette was granted the title of Monsignor by Pope John Paul II.[2]

Auxiliary Bishop of San Antonio[]

Pope Francis appointed Boulette auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of San Antonio on January 23, 2017. Boulette was consecrated to the episcopacy on March 20, 2017 as the titular bishop of Hieron and auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of San Antonio.[3][4][5]
