Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Dominican Republic)

The Ministerio de Educación Superior, Ciencia y Tecnología (MESCYT) (Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology) is a government institution that regulates higher education in the Dominican Republic. It was formerly known as the Consejo Nacional de Educación Superior (CONES) (National Council of Higher Education). The current minister is Franklin García Fermín, who entered the position in August 2020.[1]

The Dominican Republic's national innovation system is co-ordinated by the Vice- Ministry of Science and Technology within the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology. Governance rests with the National Council of Higher Education, Science and Technology.[2]
