Moeka Minami (南 萌華, Minami Moeka, born December 7, 1998) is a Japanese football player. She plays for Urawa Reds and Japan national team.

Club career[]

Minami was born in Saitama Prefecture on December 7, 1998. She was promoted to L.League club Urawa Reds from youth team in 2017.[1]

National team career[]

In 2014, Minami was selected Japan U-17 national team for 2014 U-17 World Cup.[2] She played 1 game against Paraguay in group stage and Japan won the championship.

In 2018, Minami was selected Japan U-20 national team for 2018 U-20 World Cup.[3] She played in full-time in all 6 matches as center back and Japan team captain. Japan won the championship and she was also selected Bronze Ball awards.

In February 2019, Minami was selected Japan national team for SheBelieves Cup. At this tournament, on March 2, she debuted as center back against Brazil.[4]
