Moonshot is an upcoming American science-fiction romantic comedy film directed by Chris Winterbauer and written by Max Taxe. It stars Cole Sprouse, Lana Condor, Mason Gooding, Emily Rudd, and Zach Braff. The plot follows a college student (Condor) who helps a barista (Sprouse) sneak on board a space shuttle to Mars. The film is scheduled to be released on HBO Max on March 31, 2022.
Premise[]
A laid-back barista named Walt illegally sneaks on board a space shuttle to a colonized Mars. He teams up with Sophie, a no-nonsense college student going to Mars to see her boyfriend, in order to make it on the red planet without getting caught.

Production[]
Moonshot is the second feature in a four-film deal between HBO Max and the production company Berlanti-Schechter Films. Between April and July 2021, Cole Sprouse, Lana Condor,[1] Mason Gooding, Emily Rudd, Lukas Gage,[2] and Zach Braff were confirmed to star.[3] Production began in Atlanta, Georgia in June 2021.[4][5]
Release[]
The film is scheduled to be released on HBO Max on March 31, 2022.[6] It was originally scheduled for March 24.[7]
