Moonshot is an upcoming American science-fiction romantic comedy film directed by Chris Winterbauer. It stars Cole Sprouse, Lana Condor, Mason Gooding, Emily Rudd, and Zach Braff. The film is scheduled to be released on HBO Max on March 24, 2022.
Premise[]
In a future where Mars is terraformed and colonized by the best humanity has to offer, two college students wind up joining forces and sneak onboard a space shuttle to the red planet in order to be united with their significant others.

Production[]
Moonshot serves as the second feature in a four-film deal between the production company Berlanti/Schechter Films and HBO Max, following Unpregnant in 2020. The film was announced on April 27, 2021, when it was reported Cole Sprouse and Lana Condor would star.[1] Production began in Atlanta, Georgia in June 2021,[2][3] with Mason Gooding, Emily Rudd, and Lukas Gage joining the cast.[4] In July, it was reported that Zach Braff would also star.[5]
