Moore Pinnacle

Moore Pinnacle (

80°13′S 156°49′E / 80.217°S 156.817°E / -80.217; 156.817Coordinates: 80°13′S 156°49′E / 80.217°S 156.817°E / -80.217; 156.817) is a solitary peak rising to 2,650 metres (8,700 ft) in the southern part of , in the Britannia Range, Antarctica. In association with Mount Olympus and Byrd Glacier it was named after Captain , U.S. Navy, commanding officer of USS Mount Olympus, flagship of U.S. Navy Operation Highjump, 1946–47, led by Admiral R.E. Byrd.[1]
