"Move Mania" is a song by German production group Sash!. It was released on 21 October 1998 through the Mighty label. This record is the third single from their second studio album, Life Goes On. The song features American singer Shannon and was a hit in many European countries.

Critical reception[]

Jon O'Brien from AllMusic stated that "disco diva" Shannon "adds a touch of class" to the "uplifting" song.[1]

Chart performance[]

"Move Mania" was a major hit on the charts in Europe, although it didn't reach the same level of success as the group's earlier hits. However, it managed to climb into the Top 10 in Finland, Italy, Scotland and the United Kingdom. In the latter, the single peaked at number 8 in its first week at the UK Singles Chart, on November 22, 1998.[2] Additionally, it was a Top 20 hit in Denmark and Ireland. On the Eurochart Hot 100, "Move Mania" peaked at number 23 in December 1998.

Music video[]

A music video was made for "Move Mania", directed by Oliver Sommer.[3] Sommer also directed the music videos for "Encore une fois", "Stay", "Ecuador" and "La Primavera". "Move Mania" was uploaded to YouTube in October 2016. By September 2020, the video had more than 285,000 views.[4]
