Mr. Belt & Wezol are a Dutch electronic music duo consisting of DJs and producers Bart Riem (Dutch pronunciation: [bɑrt rim]) and Sam van Wees[4] ([sɑm vɑn ˈʋeːs]). The duo's tracks "Finally" and "Somebody to Love" (2015) reached the top 10 of Beatport for several weeks.[5][6] In 2016 the duo won the "Breakthrough Artist of the Year" award at the Annual International Dance Music Award.[4]

History[]

Since 2014, Mr. Belt & Wezol run a monthly podcast. It started under the name "Mr. Belt & Wezol Music Club" and continues as "Thee Cuckoo's Nest".[7][8] In 2014, the duo permed in Club Unit in Herentals, Belgium.[9]

In 2016 at Belt & Wezol performed at "Wish Outdoor" in Beek en Donk, the Dance Nature Festival in Eindhoven,[10] and not live at the Weekend Festival in Stockholm and at the Weekend Festival Baltic in Pärnu, Estonia.[11][12] In 2017, they performed in the Indian Summer Festival of Langedijk,[13] in Wish Outdoor,[8] the Lakedance Festival in Best,[14][15] and the Summer Festival of Antwerp. In 2018 they could be seen and heard at Deephouse stages in Amsterdam, Groningen, and Oldenzaal.[16] In 2019 Mr Belt & Wezol performed at the festivals Sneeuwbal in Utrecht, Paaspop in Schijndel,[17] "We Are Electric" in Eersel[18] and again at Wish Outdoor.[4]
