Mugdha Chaphekar (born 24 March 1987) is an Indian television and film actress. She gained fame as her role Princess Sanyogita in the serial Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan. She is known for her character Aarushi in Satrangi Sasural. In 2016, she won the Maharashtra State Film Awards for Best Debut Lead in the film The Silence. She is currently portraying the character of Prachi Arora in Zee TV's show Kumkum Bhagya. [1][2]
Early life[]
Mugdha was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She did her schooling at her birthplace, Mumbai, and then graduated from D. G. Ruparel College, Mumbai with a bachelor's degree in English, and also got a master's degree in history.[3][failed verification]
Personal life[]
Mugdha met Ravish Desai on the sets of Satrangi Sasural in 2014 where they both fell in love. The duo married on 14 December 2016 in Mumbai after dating for two years.
Career[]
Mugdha made her first ever debut as a child artist in a Bollywood movie Aazmayish.[4][failed verification] She won the Maharashtra State Film Awards for the Best Debut Lead in the Marathi film The Silence.[citation needed] She is known for her television projects, including her portrayal of Sanyogita in the historical serial Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan. In 2015, she re-appeared in Zee TV's Satrangi Sasural opposite her husband Ravish Desai. As of March 2019, Chaphekar is playing Prachi Ranbir Kohli in the soap opera, Kumkum Bhagya.[5]
