Mulenge

Mulenge is a village of the grouping in Uvira territory, South Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo. It is located on the highlands overlooking the city of Uvira.

The town's name gave rise to the term Banyamulenge, literally "people of Mulenge came from Rwanda and Burundi in 1713 ", a name for the mainly Tutsi speakers resident in South Kivu.
