Myrishkor District (sometimes spelled Myrishkar in English) (Uzbek: Mirishkor/Миришкор; Tajik: Миришкор; Russian: Миришкар)is a district of Qashqadaryo Region in Uzbekistan. The capital lies at Yangi-Mirishkor.The district population in 2019 year was 118.540 people. It borders with Turkmenistan, Bukhara Region, Muborak, , districts. It covers an area of 3.100 km2 (1.197 sq mi). The population is estimated to be around 118.540 (2019).
Climate[]
Mirishkar has a cold desert climate (Köppen climate classification BWk). The district has mild winters, but very hot and dry summers. The average June temperature is about 28 °C (82 °F).
Economy[]
Natural resources include significant petroleum and natural gas reserves. Major agricultural activities include cotton, various crops and livestock.
