Nahla Summers is an adventurer, author, social campaigner, and researcher for kindness.[1] She undertakes challenges each year asking people to show support by doing an act of kindness for a stranger, her biggest to date was a World Record for further distance on an Elliptical cycle in a single journey of 5007 miles in 2020.[2]
From 2003 through to 2018 Nahla worked in various operational leadership positions within various large corporations.[3]
In 2014, she set up Sunshine People as a social movement to develop the idea that kindness has more value than money.[4] Nahla became known for kindness and from this ensued a keen interest in what kindness really was, how it impacted individuals and society, what did the world look like with more kindness.[5] She has also founded A Culture of Kindness, that specialises in culture change in businesses using the concept of kindness.[6]
On 1 March 2018, Nahla cycled across America starting in San Diego and heading over to San Augustine in Florida for 27 April.[7] A total of 3015 miles on a bike she bought just six weeks previously.[8]
Nahla walked 500 miles from Swanage to Gretna Green relying only on the kindness of strangers.[7]
In 2020, Nahla cycled 5000 miles on an ElliptiGO making a world record, through every city in the UK and writing a huge Strava art across England in the form of the word Kindness.[4]

- Awarded with a Point of Light award by the Prime Minister Theresa May in 2018.[9]
- Silver winner of the Charity Film Awards in 2019.[10]
- Gold winner of the Charity Film Awards in 2020 for We are Sunshine People.[11]
