Nancy Shukaitis

Nancy Shukaitis (1925 – 2021) was an American activist. She was active in the Tocks Island Dam controversy.

Life[]

She graduated from East Stroudsburg High School.[1]

She was a Monroe County commissioner.[2] She opposed a proposed dam on the Delaware River.[3][4]

She was instrimental in forming the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.[4][5]

Her papers are held at Lehigh University.[6]
