National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research, Chennai (or NITTTR) is an autonomous educational institution under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (or MHRD), Government of India.[1][2] NITTTR Chennai is one of the National Coordinator for SWAYAM MOOC project of MHRD.[3] SWAYAM is an integrated Massive Open Online Courses (or MOOCs) portal for online courses of higher education. For ensuring quality content, nine National Coordinators have been appointed. The online courses related to Post-Graduation Education is under the purview of University Grants Commission (or UGC), and for Under-Graduation Education the Consortium for Educational Communication (or CEC) is coordinating the online course creation. The National Programme on Technology Enhance Learning (or NPTEL) is coordinating online courses for Indian Institute of Technology (or IIT) and Indian Institute of Science (or IISc). The NITTTR Chennai is coordinating for online courses for teachers training program.[4]
