National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine is a university in Dnipro for the study of metallurgical engineering.[1]

History[]

National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine is the oldest higher metallurgical educational institution of Ukraine. It was founded as a factory department of the Ekaternoslav Higher Mining School in October 1899. In 1912, the department was transformed into the metallurgical faculty of the Mining Institute, on the basis of which the Dnipro Metallurgical Institute was established in 1930. In 1993, the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine granted the Institute the status of a state university. In 1999, the Decree of the President of Ukraine granted it the status of the National Academy.
