Nerian Sharif is a spiritual Islamic historic site located in a mountainous area in Azad Kashmir Pakistan.[1][2]
History[]
Nerian Sharif has a tremendous history and background in the history of sub-continent for spreading Islam through the ideology of sufism. The first custodian of Nerian Sharif, Khwaja Ghulam Mohiuddin Ghaznavi migrated from Afghanistan to Poonch Azad Kashmir Pakistan in 1924 at te age of 22 years for trade.Pir Ghulam Mohiudin Ghaznavi Nervi once saw a caravan which were going to attend the Urs of Mohra Sharif. He gave him some money and instructed him to give it to Pir Muhammad Qasim Sadiq Mohravi as a gift( Nazrana) .When the people of the caravan gave the money to Pir Qasim Sadiq, Pir Qasim Sadiq said to tell the businessman of Ghazni that I need of you instead of gift (Nazrana) .When the people of the caravan gave the message of Pir Qasim Sadiq, he went to Mohra Sharif and stayed for a few days.He started following Pir Qasim Sadiq and then resumed business. In the beginning the business was very profitable but after some time it started to run a loss and thus their business ended. After losing business, he decided to return to Ghazni. Before returning, he intended to meet Qasim Sadiq in Mohra Sharif, but when he reached Mohra Sharif, Pir Muhammad Qasim Sadiq Mohravi ordered him to stay in Mohra Sharif and work in the anchorage(Langer Khana).He worked in the anchorage(Langer Khana) in Mohra Sharif for 12 years.

Pir Ghulam Mohiudin Ghaznavi (1902-1975) was a Sufi scholar and first custodian of Nerian Sharif. He was born in 1902 in Ghazni , Afghanistan. His father's name was Khwaja Mohammad Akbar Khan. He died on Friday 11 April 1975 after the Jummah prayer. He was 73 years old.
Pir Muhammad Alauddin Siddiqui (2nd Custodian)[]
Hazrat Pir Alauddin Siddiqui (1936-2017) was an Islamic Sufi scholar.He was born in Nerian Sharif on 1 January 1936. He used to teach Dars e Masnavi which was aired on ARY Qtv and then on NOOR TV ( his own channel ) .He established madrassas for religious and non religious education.He built many mosques in Pakistan , Azad Kashmir and England .He built up Mohiudin Islamic Medical College Mirpur azad kashmir and Mohiudin Islamic University Azad Kashmir. Among Muslims, his work earned him the respect of fellow scholars and leaders , as well as a place on the list of 500 Most Influential Muslims in the world in 2016.He died on 3 February 2017 in London.
Pir Sultan Ul Arfeen Siddiqui (3rd Custodian)[]
Pir Sultan Ul Arfeen Siddiqui is the elder son of the Islamic Sufi Scholar Pir Muhammad Alauddin Siddiqui who is the second Custodian of Nerian Sharif. He was born on 25 August 1973 in Nerian Sharif Azad Kashmir Pakistan. In 2017 after the death of Pir Alauddin Siddiqui he took charge as Gadi Nasheen of Nerian Sharif. He is also the Chancellor of Mohiudin Islamic University Nerian Sharif and Mohiudin Islamic Medical College Mirpur.
Masajids and Institutes[]
The projects related to education, health, media and spiritual values are the major works carried out by the Hazoor Shykul Alam Pir Muhammad Alauddin Siddiqui (2nd Custodian of Nerian Sharif) in his life.Khwaja Ghulam Mohiuddin sent his beloved son Shaykh Alauddin Siddiqui to the United Kingdom at a young age to spread Sufism. After the passing of Khwaja Ghaznavi, Shaykh Alauddin Siddiqui became the custodian of Nerian Sharif and therefore balanced his time between the United Kingdom and Nerian Sharif.[3]
Pir Alauddin Siddiqui has built many masjids in the name of Shaykh Ul Alam around the world. He has also builts many educational institutes for religious and non religious education in Azad Kashmir and Pakistan.He built up Mohi ud din islamic university Nerian Sharif, Mohi Ud din Medical College Mirpur and a great Dar Ul Aloom Mohiuddin Siddiquia at Chak Beli Khan in Rawalpindi.
United Kingdom[]
Nerian Sharif has also a strong presence in the United Kingdom and has built many mosques and took part in many community cohesion projects.As a result, he has many followers and devotees in the United Kingdom.
Services to Azad Kashmir[]
Nerian Sharif did a lot for Azad Kashmir.Pir Alauddin Siddiqui had met with many esteemed personalities (political and religious) in order to talk over various things that could be done to improve life in Azad Kashmir.During their lifetime, they built the first Mohi ud din Islamic medical college in Azad Kashmir.It did not stop there,the Custodian of Nerian Sharif Pir Alauddin Siddiqui also built Mohi ud din Islamic University named after their blessed father Pir Ghulam Mohiuddin Ghaznavi.
Noor TV[]
In 2006,The second Custodian of Nerian Sharif Pir Alauddin Siddiqui announced plans to launch Noor TV.[4] Noor TV UK was set up as a free sky channel for muslim ummah in the United Kingdom.[5]Which is now under the care of Pir Noor-ul-Arfeen Siddiqui, the youngest son of Pir Allauddin Siddiqui from United Kingdom.
Shrines[]
The tombs of Khwaja Pir Ghulam Mohiudin Ghaznavi, his younger brother Khwaja Pir Durab known as Sani la Sani Sarkar Ghaznavi, Pir Alauddin Siddiqui (son of Khwaja Ghaznavi) and many more tombs of the family of Nerian Sharif have been buried in Nerian Sharif.[6]
