Nieuw-Buinen is a town in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Borger-Odoorn, and lies about 21 kilometres (13 mi) north of Emmen.
The statistical area "Nieuw-Buinen", which can also include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 5020.[1]
