Nikita Sharma is an Indian television actress and model from New Delhi, best known for playing the female lead role of Antara Kaul in the television series Do Dil Ek Jaan on Life OK,[1] Kavita in Swaragini - Jodein Rishton Ke Sur on Colors TV, Archana in Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki and Shivani/Nandini on Dangal TV’s Phir Laut Aayi Naagin.

Early life[]

Sharma was born and brought up in New Delhi. Her father is a builder. After finishing her education in St. Xavier's School and Delhi University,[2] Sharma assisted her father in his business. She also handled her own bakeries in New Delhi.[3]

Career[]

Sharma won the Miss Air Hostess Academy title in 2008.[4] In 2012, she participated in the Indian Princess beauty pageant, which she won.[5] She was the cover girl of the July–August 2012 issue of magazine.[6] Sharma moved to Mumbai to pursue her acting and modeling dreams. She appeared in various commercials for brands such as Coca-Cola, Invertis University, , TVS Scooty, and Lays. Sharma has done several photo shoots and walked the ramp for various brands.[4] Sharma also appeared in a music video "Teri Yaad" by .[7] She started her TV career with Channel V’s V The Serial, in which she was paired opposite Karan Kundra. Soon after, Sharma landed her first lead role in Life OK’s Do Dil Ek Jaan. She played the role of Antara, a Kashmiri girl who falls in love with Raghu, a Mumbai gangster played by Ayaz Ahmed.[8][9] After Do Dil Ek Jaan, Sharma was seen in single episodes of Channel V's Confessions of an Indian Teenager, UTV Bindass' Yeh Hai Aashiqui,[10] MTV Webbed 2 and UTV Bindass' .[11][12]
