Orest Kuzyk (Ukrainian: Орест Тарасович Кузик; born 17 May 1995) is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Rukh Lviv.

Career[]

Kuzyk is a product of the FC Karpaty Lviv and FC Dynamo youth sportive schools. His first trainers were Mykola Dudarenko (in FC Karpaty) and Oleksiy Drotsenko and Yuriy Len (in FC Dynamo).[1]

FC Hoverla Uzhhorod[]

He spent his career in the Ukrainian Premier League Reserves and in July 2015 went on loan to Hoverla Uzhhorod in the Ukrainian Premier League. Kuzyk made his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League for FC Hoverla Uzhhorod in a match against FC Vorskla Poltava, entraining in the second half-time on 25 July 2015.[2]

FC Stal Kamianske[]

From 2016–2018 Kuzyk joined Stal Kamianske, and he made 37 caps and eight goals. He played also in the reserve team in the season 2016–17 he scored 7 goals.

PAS Giannina F.C.[]

On 8 June 2018, PAS Giannina the main team of Ioannina, officially announced the signing of 23-year-old Ukrainian winger Orest Kuzyk, who was recently released from FC Stal Kamianske. Kuzyk signed three-season contract with experienced manager Giannis Petrakis' team.[3] Kuzyk was often left out of the squad during the first half of the Super League season. He made seven appearances across all competitions without scoring.

SC Dnipro-1 (loan)[]

On 14 January 2018, he was loaned out to SC Dnipro-1.[4] He made 11 appearances and scored four goals in the 2018–19 Ukrainian First League, contributed to promote the team into Ukrainian Premier League. He won also the award as Best Player in March 2019 becoming the second player of SC Dnipro-1 who earned the award.[5][6]then he returned to PAS Giannina.[7]

FC Desna Chernihiv (loan)[]

On 14 July 2019, he was loaned again to Desna Chernihiv for one year until the july 2020.[8][9] With the club of Chernihiv, he started playing more regularly comparing with the last two years and he played 21 matches scoring 1 goal in Ukrainian Premier League against FC Oleksandriya in the season 2019–20 in the away victory of 0-3 for Desna Chernihiv[10][11]He made his contribution for the Quarterfinal of the Ukrainian Cup in the season 2019-20 and for the Qualification for the Play-Off of the Championship round table of the Premier League in the season 2019–20 and with the club was promoted for the Europa League third qualifying round.[12] In summer 2020 few clubs from Ukrainian Premier League and Cypriot First Division showed interest in Desna's player on loan from PAS Giannina.[13][14][15][16]At the end the club of Desna Chernihiv want offer him a new contract but the owner club, PAS Giannina wasn't agree.[17]

Pafos[]

In September 2020, Orest Kuzyk left PAS Giannina and signed a three-year contract with Cyprus' Pafos in Cypriot First Division.[18][19][20][21]On 22 October 2020 he scored his first goal in Cypriot First Division for the season 2020–21 against Karmiotissa FC.[22][4]

Rukh Lviv[]

On 24 June 2021 he signed three years contract with Rukh Lviv in Ukrainian Premier League.[23][24]On 25 July 2021 he made his debut with the new club in Ukrainian Premier League against Metalist 1925 Kharkiv scoring his first goal.[25]On 21 September 2021 he played against MFC Mykolaiv in Ukrainian Cup in the season 2021-22 at the Tsentralnyi Stadion and qualified for the Round of 16.[26]

International career[]

In 2015 he joined in the Ukraine-20 and made two appearances. In 2016 in Ukraine-21, he made five appearances and scored one goal.
