Otewa

Otewa is a rural community in the Otorohanga District and Waikato region of New Zealand's North Island.[1]

The local Otewa Pā is a meeting place of the Maniapoto hapū of Matakore, Ngutu, Parewaeono, Rereahu, Te Kanawa and Urunumia.[2] It includes Ko Te Hokingamai ki te Nehenehenui meeting house.[3]

Education[]

Otewa School is a Year 1–8 co-educational state primary school.[4] It is a decile 8 school with a roll of 69 as of November 2021.[5][6]
