Pabellón de Hidalgo

Pabellón de Hidalgo is a town of 4,006 inhabitants in the municipality of Rincón de Romos, Aguascalientes, Mexico.[1]

Museum of the Insurgency[]

, in the town of Pabellón de Hidalgo, is a 16th-century hacienda, now maintained as a Museum of the Insurgency. It is a good example of the agricultural haciendas that fed the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro.

In Pabellón de Hidalgo is located the Museum of the Insurgency is in what was formerly . The museum opened on 17 October 1967 with the aim of spreading events that took place during the independence of Mexico. It also houses murals by , depicting cultural, political and social events of the last two centuries (1810-2010) in the history of Mexico. It's said that after the defeat of the rebels at the Battle of Calderón Bridge, they arrived at the Hacienda de San Blas where Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla was removed from command.[2]

The Museum is located on the western side of Plaza 24 de Enero Nº19. The is located on the northern side of the plaza.
