The pale-bellied hermit (Phaethornis anthophilus), also known as the Carinegro Hermit, is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae.[2]

It is found in western Mexico, Colombia, Panama, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and heavily degraded former forest from sea level to 1500 meters.[citation needed]
