The Park Avenue Chamber Symphony (PACS) is a classical symphony orchestra in New York City.
The orchestra has performed at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall, and won The American Prize Competition in Orchestral Performance three times.[1] Its current music director is David Bernard. Among its violinists is hedge fund manager and philanthropist Roy Niederhoffer, Joshua Newman (CEO of Cyan Pictures) plays trumpet, and Emily Toll of the United Nations Office of Project Services plays cello.[2] The symphony regularly features soloists such as David Chan (concertmaster, Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra), Carter Brey (cellist, New York Philharmonic), and Anthony McGill (clarinet, New York Philharmonic).[3]
