Penshoppe is a casual wear retail brand based in the Philippines, established in 1986. Penshoppe is the flagship brand of Golden ABC, Inc., a fashion house based in the Philippines.

Philippines[]

Established in Cebu in 1986, the brand initially established itself in the Visayas and Mindanao markets. Penshoppe then expanded to Metro Manila, with its first boutique opening its doors in SM City North EDSA in 1991. Since then, Penshoppe's network of stores has grown to over 300 sites.

International expansion[]

After its success in the Philippines, Penshoppe has expanded throughout Asia. In 2015, Penshoppe has opened retail outlets in Bahrain, Cambodia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and UAE.

Endorsements[]

Penshoppe previously had Nikki Gil-Albert, , Heart Evangelista-Escudero and Jericho Rosales as their "local celebrity models". Some of the current local celebrity endorsers include Mikael Daez, Victor Basa, Bea Soriano, and Akihiro Sato.^{[citation needed]}

The brand previously had Mandy Moore as a celebrity endorser in 2001. In 2011, the brand signed Gossip Girl Ed Westwick^[1] as an international celebrity endorser.^[2] Thai actor Mario Maurer signed a contract with PR Asia to become an international endorser for the clothing brand.^[3] In April 2012, the company announced that Zac Efron would also be endorsing the clothing brand and was set to visit the Philippines later that year. In May 2012, American actor and model Ian Somerhalder, a.k.a. Damon Salvatore of The CW Television Network's The Vampire Diaries, announced he was to endorse Penshoppe. In May 2012, Leighton Meester, also a Gossip Girl cast member, became an endorser for Penhshoppe's campaign called "All Stars".^[4] Later in October 2012, Penshoppe announced through its Twitter account that the brand will also be endorsed by One Direction.^[5] Recently, it was announced by Nina Dobrev, another star from The Vampire Diaries, will also be endorsing the brand. Most recently, Josh Bowman, a leading star in the hit show Revenge, was also announced as an upcoming Penshoppe endorser.^[6] On September 6, 2014, supermodel Cara Delevingne was named as Penshoppe's newest endorser.^[7]

In 2015 Sean O'Pry became a Penshoppe ambassador.^[8] On May 6, 2015, Penshoppe revealed that fashion model and television personality Kendall Jenner had joined the clothing line's endorsing team.^[9] On August 27, 2015, via Penshoppe's Instagram account, it was announced that 2NE1's vocalist, Sandara Park, will also be joining the brand as its newest ambassador. Earlier in 2016, Penshoppe was able to sign male modeling's new "It Boy", Lucky Blue Smith, as its newest endorser. In May 2016, American fashion model Gigi Hadid was revealed as another new face for Penshoppe.^[10] In 2017 Nam Joo-hyuk also become face of Penshoppe, The new addition to the faces of Penshoppe is the daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford, Kaia Gerber.In March 2018, Penshoppe announced via their social media accounts that Zayn Malik, a former member of One Direction is back in the Penshoppe team as an endorser. Its current models include Bella Hadid, Jordan Barrett, and Cameron Dallas for their latest campaign. And for the year 2019, Lalisa Manoban, Thai member of sensational girlgroup BLACKPINK, joins the Penshoppe family as their newest ambassador. In 2021, Astro's Cha Eun-woo joined Penshoppe as its new ambassador.
