Peripatoides kawekaensis is a species of velvet worm in the Peripatopsidae family.[1] The type locality is in New Zealand's North Island.[2]

Taxonomy[]

This species was described by in 1998 using material collected at the Hutchinson Reserve in the Hawke's Bay Region.[3] The holotype specimen is held at Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa in Wellington.[4]

Conservation Status[]

This species has been classified as having the "At Risk, Naturally Uncommon" conservation status under the New Zealand Threat Classification System.[5]
