Plicatoperipatus is a monospecific genus of velvet worm containing the single species Plicatoperipatus jamaicensis.[2] It is endemic to Jamaica. The species is listed as Near Threatened by the IUCN Red List.[1] Males in this species have 35 pairs of legs; females have 43 pairs, the maximum number found in the phylum Onychophora.[3][4]
