Rachanaa Parulkkar is an Indian television actress, model and dancer. Rachanaa is a trained classical dancer; student of Uma Dogra in Kathak. She graduated in Bharatanatyam from Nalanda University Mumbai. She was a scholarship student of Terence Lewis.
Early life[]
Parulkar was born on 10 October in Mumbai to Sushilkumar N Parulkar and Lata Parulkar. She has two siblings, Sandesh Parulkar and Sanket Parulkar. Rachanaa was brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Parulkar studied at Gyan Kendra School. She graduated from Mithibai College. She holds a master's degree in English literature from SNDT University. She is a graduate in Bharatanatyam from Nalanda Bharatnatyam Nritya Niketan. She trained as a classical Kathak Dancer at Uma Dogra School of Kathak and is a Gandha Bandhan Shagird.[1]
Career[]
Parulkar started her acting career at age 18 .She played the lead role of Saawri [2] in Saat Phere - Saloni Ka Safar. She was further seen as Akruti[3] in Sapnon Se Bhare Naina. Rachanaa did a cameo in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil and made episodic appearance in Gumrah.[4]
She gained popularity with her iconic lead role as Kalpana Vithhal Jadhav (Kalpi)/Kalpana Raghav Singhania in Ek Mutthi Aasmaan.[5]
Parulkar was the main lead on Maharani Ajabde and as the wife of Maharana Pratap in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap.[6][7]

She ranked in Top 3 in UK poll LuvTV20 conducted by Sabras Radio and organised by Raj Baddhan in 2014.[citation needed]
