Raj Bharath Swaminathan (born 20 November 1994) is an Indian professional race car driver who raced in the Formula 2000 MRF Challenge 2014.

Racing Biography[]

Raj started his motorsport career with karting in 2008, winning the ‘Most promising rookie of the year’ trophy in his debut year, in the National Karting Championship. After winning the Rotax Max Karting National Champion title in 2010, he progressed to Formula BMW Asia in 2011, followed by the Ferrari Academy-supported Formula Pilota in 2012 and the Formula Masters China in 2013, where he achieved significant wins.[1] He won the Mercedes Young Star Driver program in 2014.[2]

MRF Challenge 2014-15[]

The 2014–2015 MRF Challenge Formula 2000 Championship was the third edition of the series, consisting of 12 races spread across 3 rounds. Round 1 was conducted on 17 and 18 October 2014, at the Losail International Circuit, Qatar, while Round 2 was held on 14 and 15 November 2014, at the Bahrain International Circuit, Bahrain. Round 3 was held at the Madras Motor Race Track in Chennai on 24 and 25 January 2015. Raj achieved four podiums including one win, finishing third overall.[3]
