Responsible Future (Icelandic: Ábyrg framtíð; AF) is an Icelandic political party. It was established on 27 July 2021. Responsible Future is a party of skeptics about the threat of Covid-19 and the usefulness of vaccinations. The Party's struggle was preceded by Jóhannes Loftsson's writings in 2020, in which there was very strong opposition to harsh disease control measures. The party ran in the 2021 parliamentary election.[1]

2021 Althingi elections[]

The party first ran in the 2021 parliamentary elections and the candidacy was announced on September 10, 2021 in the media.[2] The party originally intended to run in two constituencies, Reykjavík North and the South constituency, but due to few signatures, they could only run in the Reykjavík North constituency, which meant that the party's chairman, Jóhannes Loftsson, could not vote for the party in the election.[3]

The party received 0.1% support, 144 votes and no MPs elected.[4]
