South Constituency (Icelandic: Suðurkjördæmi [ˈsʏːðʏrˌcʰœrˌtaiːmɪ]) is one of the six constituencies of Iceland. Its major town is Keflavík. It elects 10 members to the Althing.
Geography[]
It is the only constituency bordering with all the other five, included the urban ones of Reykjavík. Its territory includes the glaciers of Vatnajokull (partly in Norðausturkjördæmi), Eyjafjallajökull, Mýrdalsjökull, Tindfjallajökull, Torfajökull and, at its northern borders, the southern part of the Hofsjökull and Langjökull.
