Riccardo Giraudi (born November 14, 1975 in Genoa) is the CEO of Giraudi Group.

Biography[]

Riccardo Giraudi grew up in the Principality of Monaco before studying at the European Business School of London where he obtained a Bachelor in Business Administration in 1999[1] · .[2]

Career[]

Beginning[]

In 2001, Riccardo Giraudi joined the family-owned company created by his father Erminio Giraudi in the 1970’s : Giraudi Group.[3] The group is one of the European leader in meat import / export (40% veal, 30% beef, 10% pork).

Supervised by Riccardo Giraudi, the company turned to new businesses such as hospitality & exclusive meats.[4][5]

The meat industry[]

While becoming leader in the import of hormone-free American Black Angus beef in Europe in 2005, Riccardo Giraudi introduced a new offer by integrating Australian beef.[6][7] In 2014, he became the first official importer of certified Japanese Kobe beef in Europe.[8][9][10][11][12][13]

A few months later, Riccardo Giraudi launched the Jamon de Buey de Kobe, a Japanese Kobe beef ham.

In 2005, Riccardo Giraudi started to develop restaurant concepts in Monaco.[14][15]

Hospitality concepts in France and around the world[]

Concepts, like Beefbar, Grubers and Beeftro, are also developed abroad.[28]

Grubers is open in Hong Kong and Luxembourg, and Beeftro in Luxembourg.

Riccardo Giraudi got his first Michelin star thanks to Beefbar in Hong Kong in 2017.[43][44]

In May 2017, he became the new owner of the restaurant Anahi, in Paris.[45][46] The restaurant is in the top 3 of Conde Nast's best restaurants in the world.[47]

Consulting[]

Following the success in creating concepts of his own, Riccardo Giraudi decided to branch out and open a consulting division who develops F&B outlets for the most prestigious hotel groups of the world.[48]

Other activities[]

Since 2007, Riccardo Giraudi is appointed Honorary Consul of Gabon in the Principality of Monaco.[49]

Since 2017, Beefbar Hong Kong is Michelin Starred in the "Hong Kong & Macau Michelin Guide".[50]

Riccardo Giraudi's Jamon de Buey de Kobe received the Wallpaper* Design Award 2018 for best working lunch.[51]

Beefbar Paris is ranked in the Top 50 Monocle restaurant awards and elected best Steakhouse by Timeout magazine.[52] It also won the RESTAURANT & BAR DESIGN AWARDS in the category "Heritage Building".[53]

Private[]

Riccardo Giraudi received the medal of the Order of the Equatorial Star of the Republic of Gabon and became Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy.[54]

Riccardo Giraudi was named "Goodwill Ambassador"of the Principality of Monaco.[55]
