Carla Gonzalez (born November 5, 2001), known by her ring name Rok-C, is an American professional wrestler. She is best known for her time with Ring of Honor where she was the inaugural ROH Women's World Champion.[2][3]

Professional wrestling career

Early career (2018–2019)

Gonzalez began training at age 13,[4] and later trained under Booker T starting at age 16.[5] She made pro wrestling debut in December 2018 under the ring name Rok-C as she began wrestling for Booker T's promotion Reality of Wrestling. Her ring name derives from The Rock - as she was a fan of his, she "kind of switched up the letters a little bit, and then I use the dash… The C stands for my name, Carla."[6]As well as wrestling for ROW, Rok-C spent the majority of her rookie years wrestling for promotions across her home state of Texas.

Reality of Wrestling (2019–2021)

Rok-C made her Reality of Wrestling debut on January 19, 2019 winning her first singles match defeating Lynnette Laso. She then wrestled her first title match at Ladies Night Out 5 against the Diamonds Division Champion Hyan. Despite an unsuccessful challenge, she remained involved in the Diamonds Division title picture throughout the course of her debut year.

During the February 8, 2020 episode of ROW, Rok-C won the Diamonds Division title from Hyan in a singles match. Rok-C's then challenged Heather Monroe for her Hurricane Pro Women's Championship at Ladies Night Out 9. Despite winning the match, she did not win the title as she won via disqualification. Rok-C successfully retained the Diamonds Division Champion until December 19, losing the title in a triple threat match involving Promise Braxton and Hyan. Between July and August 2021, Rok-C wrestled on two occasions for the Diamonds Division title including a three-way match during the annual Summer Of Champions against opponents Raychell Rose and Promise Braxton.

Ring of Honor (2021)

In April 2021, Gonzalez began appearing for Ring of Honor under her Rok-C ring name. She made her debut teaming with Max the Impaler in a time limit draw against Laynie Luck and Hyan. Rok-C then competed in the ROH Women's World Championship tournament, where she defeated the likes of Angelina Love, Sumie Sakai and Quinn McKay. In the finals at Death Before Dishonor XVIII, she defeated Miranda Alize to become the inaugural ROH Women's World Champion and youngest female champion in company history at 19. Her first title defense came on the November 26 episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling, where she defeated Gia Scott.

On October 27, 2021, Rok-C along with all other ROH personnel were released from their contracts as the company would go on hiatus after December's Final Battle. At Final Battle, Rok-C successfully retained her championship against Willow Nightengale in what was ROH's last pay-per-view event before going on hiatus. Post match, she was confronted by former Impact Knockouts Champion and reigning AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Deonna Purrazzo who proposed a winner take all match at a future Impact Wrestling event. Purrazzo's proposal was immediately accepted by Rok-C as the two shook hands.

Impact Wrestling (2022)

At Hard To Kill on January 8, 2022, Rok-C was in attendance, where Deonna Purrazzo failed to regain the Impact Knockouts Championship from Mickie James.[7][8] On the January 13 episode of Impact!, Rok-C lost the ROH Women's World Championship to the AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Purrazzo in a Winner Takes All match.[9][10]
