Rosemount High School is a public four-year high school in Rosemount, Minnesota, United States, founded in 1918. The school is part of Minnesota Independent School District 196 (Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District). The school competes in the South Suburban Conference of the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL).[3]
Academics[]
As of the 2018–2019 school year Rosemount High School offered 19 Advanced Placement classes and 9 College In the Schools (CIS) Courses.

The demographic breakdown of the 2,112 students enrolled for the 2012–2013 school year was:

Athletics[]
Rosemount is a charter member of the South Suburban Conference, which was started in 2010.[4] They joined after deciding to leave the Lake Conference, which later became the Classic Lake Conference.
Marching Band[]
The Rosemount marching band performed in the 2014 Rose Parade in Pasadena, California, on New Year's Day.[5]

Controversy[]
Kissing Prank Incident
Rosemount became the subject of controversy when local and international news organizations became aware of a viral prank video, in which blindfolded students were unknowingly kissed by their parents. Criticism was directed toward the parents' behavior (including a woman who appeared to be kissing her son on the floor of the gymnasium), as well as the event itself and how it was orchestrated.[13]
