Russell Jamie Johnson (born September 28, 1993[citation needed]) is an American singer, songwriter, stuntman and actor. He has appeared in The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart, Orange is The New Black, Robinhood, Aquaman.[1] As a musician he has released 3 singles including Sarah, Put Me Out, and First & Canal.[2]
Early life[]
Russell Jaime Johnson grew up in Linton, Indiana.[3][better source needed] Russell Grew up practicing archery starting at 2 years old. His father was a bow maker. [4] Russell attended the Culver Military Academy at the age of 16 after the death of his father in a plane crash.[5] He went on to attend Berklee College of Music where he was subsequently awarded a scholarship to attend. [4] While at Berklee, Russell performed and worked with music industry luminaries including Chuck Leavell (Allman Brothers, Rolling Stones), John Oates of Hall & Oates , and jazz-pop singer-songwriter Jamie Cullum.[6][2] Russell went on to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in songwriting in 2016.[6]
Career[]
Russell has taken on a few minor roles as an actor and stuntman in various movies and television shows including 2018’s Robin Hood, Aquaman, the Amazon original series Sneaky Pete, CBS drama Elementary.[5] Russell also trained Jaime Parker ahead of his debut in Harry Potter and The Cursed Child.
In 2020, Russell appeared in The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart. The new series followed 23 single musicians as they try to find love through music.[7]
Russell’s latest single “Put Me Out” was produced by Rupert Stansall.[2]
